In Simple Calendar, you can create a separate calendar for each type of event.
For example, create calendars such as "Hobby" or "Work" and give them easy-to-recognize background and text colors.
Create color-coded events
- When creating an event, select "Calendar" at the top
- Tap "Create New Calendar..." and create a calendar with the name and color you like
- When creating an event, select the calendar you created in step 2
- The event is created in the color set for that calendar
Example:
In step 2, create a calendar named "Work" in blue. When you create an event, select the "Work" calendar and enter "Meeting" as the event name.
Now the blue label tells you at a glance that it is a work event.
If you cannot find "Create New Calendar...":
Please try this method (How to add calendars)
Change the color of a calendar
- In the Simple Calendar settings, tap "Add/Edit Calendar"
- Tap the calendar whose color you want to change
- Choose the color you like, then tap the checkmark at the top right (on iOS 18 or earlier, tap "Done")
You can also change the "Text Color". Choose the color that is easiest for you to read.
Note:
If you are syncing with Google Calendar, new calendars must be created in a web browser on a computer.
See the Google Calendar Help for instructions.
A calendar created in Google Calendar is synced to this app and displayed.
